Algonquin Provincial Park is located in Ontario, Canada. 🇨🇦 It’s one of the most iconic parks in the country, sitting between Georgian Bay and the Ottawa River.

The park is about a 3-hour drive north of Toronto. Popular activities include:

⁃ Hiking 🥾 
⁃ Canoeing & kayaking 🛶 
⁃ Camping 🏕️ 
⁃ Wildlife viewing 🦌 🐻 🐦 
⁃ Fishing 🎣 
⁃ Fall leaf viewing 🍂 
⁃ Winter snowshoeing & cross-country skiing ❄️

🚘 Vehicle day permits in peak season cost $21.00 CAD.

🥾 Mizzy Lake Trail

Distance: 11km (4-6 hours)

Difficulty: This moderate trail offers some of the best wildlife viewing in the park. Be sure to bring binoculars for birdwatching! 🦆 

Wildlife: Expect to see beavers, otters, moose, and a variety of birds along the trail. Hike quietly for better chances of sightings. 🫎 

Trail Map: The trail is well-marked, but always grab a map at the visitor center or download it before heading out. 📍

🥾 Lookout Trail

Distance: 2.1km (1 hour)

Difficulty: This short but steep trail rewards you with panoramic views of the park’s vast forests and hills. It’s a must-see, especially in fall when the leaves turn vibrant shades of red and orange. 🍁🍁🍁

Scenic Beauty: Capture stunning views of Algonquin’s dense forests and rolling hills, especially during the fall season.

Pack Snacks: Bring a light snack and enjoy a rest at the top while soaking in the view.

🐶 Algonquin is a dog-friendly park. Keep your furry friend leashed and stick to marked trails. There are also designated areas for dogs to swim and enjoy the water.

Arrowhead Provincial Park is located in Ontario, Canada. 🇨🇦 It is situated near the town of Huntsville in the Muskoka region. 

The park is about a 2.5-hour drive north of Toronto. Popular activities include:

- Hiking 🥾 
- Canoeing 🛶 
- Swimming 🏊‍♀️ 
- Camping 🏕️ 
- Wildlife viewing 🐻 🦆 🫎 
- Photography 🍁
- Winter skating & skiing ⛷️⛸️

🚘 Vehicle day permits during the summer cost $21.00 CAD. 

🥾 Arrowhead Lake Trail

Distance: 5km (1-1.5 hours)

Difficulty: Arrowhead Lake Trail is moderately easy, making it suitable for most hikers. Ensure you wear sturdy hiking shoes for comfort & safety.

Wildlife: Keep an eye out for wildlife, including deer, beavers, & various bird species. 

Bug Protection: Depending on the season, mosquitoes & ticks can be prevalent. Use insect repellent, wear long sleeves & pants to protect yourself.

Trail Map: Although the trail is well-marked, pick up a map at the park entrance or download one beforehand. 

🥾Stubb’s Falls Trail 

Distance: 2km (45 minutes)

Difficulty: Stubb’s Falls is relatively short & easy, making it accessible for families or those with limited mobility.

Scenic Beauty: Stubbs Falls is a must-see, offering picturesque views & soothing sound of cascading water. 

Swimming: On hot days, the area around the falls can be a great spot for cooling off. However, be cautious of slippery rocks & strong currents.

Picnicking: Pack a lunch & enjoy a meal with the sound of the falls in the background.

🐶 Arrowhead is a dog-friendly park. Keep your pet leashed & stay on marked trails. There are designated areas where your pup can enjoy the water.
